We are the Alberta members of the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers
Although we share the Rocky Mountains with our friends in British Columbia, we clearly got the better side, as we have a wealth of public land that has long been the foundation of some of our finest angling and hunting opportunities. This land rewards those who venture onto it, and includes inspiring scenery of wide-open prairies, snow-capped mountains, boreal forests, and lakes, which contain wildlife like sturgeon, goldeye trout, pronghorn antelope, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, and many more species.
Our chapter is united in the belief that our freedom to hunt and fish depends on wilderness habitat, and the bounty that it provides. It is our goal to deliver this wilderness to the next generation of hunters/anglers, and as such, much depends on our shared voices, efforts and actions to protect it. With our members, who possess a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, we are excited to step forward, and meet this challenge.
